Rosh Chodesh Of The 5th Month.

I propose a paradigm shift, and it is simply this: The world has miscalculated the timing for the Counting of the Omer, and subsequently, the timing of Shavu'ot. It is not 50 Days after the Pesach, as is traditionally taught; but rather it is 50 Days added to the Seventh Shabbat, and then we are to offer a new meat (grain) offering unto Yahuah.

Yahuah gave us explicit instructions. All we have to do is follow them to the letter (or the number) of the law. Where we err is thinking that the created has a greater understanding of the interpretation of the law than does the Creator. We are doing too much. Just follow along, and be obedient to His instructions.

Step 1: Determine The Day For The Wave Sheaf Offering

These are the scriptures for determining when Israel was to bring the Wave Sheaf offering before Yahuah:

• Leviticus 23:10

• Leviticus 23:14

When did Israel come into the Promised Land?

• Joshua 5:10

The following day was a Shabbat - on the 15th Day of Abib/Nissan, so the Wave Sheaf Offering occurred on the Shabbat; as in 8-15-22-29!

Step 2: Now Begin To Count The Omer

Here is the Torah for counting the Omer to arrive at the correct day for Shavu'ot:

'And you shall count unto you from the morrow after the Shabbat, from the day that you brought the sheaf of the wave offering....' Leviticus 23:15

Continuing in verse 15:

'Seven Shabbathot shall be complete.'

We've learned that 'Counting The Days', involves two simultaneous counts, a Weekly Count, and a Monthly Count. However in Leviticus 23:15, Yahuah is giving us a special set of instructions. He is introducing a Shabbatical Count for calculating the omer, based on the number seven. Again, we can see the Creation's 6-7- Algorithm at work.

Do not complicate the issue. You only need to count the Shabbathot, as Yahuah has instructed.

Step 3: Here Is The Eye Opener

Continue to Leviticus 23:16, which states:

'Even unto the morrow after the seventh Shabbat shall you number fifty days....'

Here is where you factor in the 50 Days. In verse 16; NOT in verse 15!

We've been doing too much; yet not enough.

Sidenote:

• When counting the individual days, remember to omit the correct New Moon (which is always the 100% Full Moon); it is a Monthly count, and Leviticus 23:16 requires a  Daily count.

• Omit the Lunar Cycle Completion Day (30th day, if there is one); It's also a Monthly count, and Yahuah told us to do a Daily Count of 50 Days.

• The next day is the 50th Day.

  
  

The correct day for the Feast of Shavu'ot is:

In the 5th Month. On the 2nd Day of the Monthly Count; the 1st Day of the Weekly Count    

The Law for Shavu'ot was given by Yahuah in 2 parts. Follow His instructions exactly, and U will come before Him on the appropriate day.
