The 4th Morning Watch

The 4th Watch: 3am to 6am/Sunrise
In the 3rd Watch, aka, the Cock Crowing Watch, we saw how King David stood in the breach to combat HaShatan and his emissaries, for the glorification of Yahuah, Tseva’ot(Lord of Hosts). His tactic was the establishment of a system of continuous praise and worship in the Tabernacle.
In the 4th Watch, we will consider the spiritual strategy of Yahusha, HaMashiach for combating the dark forces roaming all four of the Night Watches.
Entering Your Prayer Closet
The best example of going into your prayer closet during the 4th Watch, is Mark 1:35 when speaking of Yahusha, HaMashiach:
‘And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.’ (emphasis mine).
It pays to keep things in proper perspective. Pay attention to the
methodology of Yahusha. The evening before, after sunset, during the Evening Watch, Yahusha spent the time healing. The people brought those who were diseased before him, and he healed them. In addition, there were also those who were possessed of demons, and he cast them out, forbidding them to speak, ‘because they knew him’. Mark 1:32-34.
Side Note: Verse 34 touches on a doctrine found in the Pseudepigrapha that I may explore at another time, Yah willing.
That day, Yahusha went throughout the towns of Galilee, casting out devils and healing by his will. Over the following days, he preached the Besorah, and healed in Capernaum.
Before HaMashiach did anything related to the Ruach HaQodesh, he rose up early, separated himself and prayed, ensuring he would be able to do the work ahead.
What is '....a great while before day?’
What does that phrase mean in relation to the Watches of the Night? To get an idea of the appearance of the night sky, throughout the 4 Watches remember that 3 hours of the Evening Watch remain after sunset. That is Dusk, often described as Twilight. Conversely, there remains 3 hours of the Morning Watch before sunrise occurs. That period is called Dawn, also described as Twilight: an intermediate state that is not clearly defined.
Time lapse is cool for a visual effect of what that looks like.
