The Natsariym: The Standards Of Truth

We should never forget that the early Natsariym were the followers of Yahusha, HaMashiach. They were the first Messianic Yahudiym that came out of Jerusalem immediately following the Crucifixion; specifically those who witnessed the Ascension, and carried the testimony, ‘He is risen!’ to the nations. These natsars followed the teachings of Yahusha, while continuing to observe Torah, the Levitical Dietary laws, maintain the Shabbats, and circumcise their newborn sons on the 8th Day of life, etc., according to the Commandments.

They had a belief system that would grow to be a source of contention between them, the growing Roman Catholic Church, and the everchanging Judaic principles they were leaving behind. What prompted the contention? Without whitewashing, it had everything to do with receiving the light, and choosing to walk in it; while the rest of the world chose to remain in darkness. It was not so much that the world would not flip the switch to allow the light to shine; rather it was that most were not even aware the switch was there. As for the enlightened ones who were taught by Yahusha, walked with him, stood at the feet of the cross, and watched him ascend into heaven; remembering the scriptures he revealed, the parables he taught, the wisdoms he gave, to them the Word began to take on a new light. Simply put they believed, one hundred percent, that he was the Son Of Yahuah, and that the scrolls he taught from were the divinely inspired Word of Yahuah. In other words, they developed a strict Sola Scriptura point of view regarding how they should live their lives on a day-to-day basis, and they were not afraid to stand firmly on it, at least not initially.

As discussed in ‘The Natsariym Point Of View,’ Sola Scriptura was/is the standard the Natsariym lived by. Its literal definition is ’Scripture Alone, as defined by 2 Timothy 3:16-17, which states:

‘All scripture is given by inspiration of Yahuah, and is profitable for doctrine,           for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of Yah may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.’

IOW’s, the Bible, because it is divinely inspired (or Yahuah breathed), is the final, infallible, and sufficient authority for all matters of faith and practice.

Paul clarified this in Galatians 1:8-12:
