The Biblical 12th Month of the Year, 2026

The 12th Month is the last month of the Hebrew calendar. It signifies the end of the agricultural year; the final harvest having been completed in the 7th Month, and celebrated at the Feast Of Sukkot.

I am a bible literalist; meaning if Yahuah indicates a thing is a certain way, then for me: 'It is what it is.' Therefore, I choose to stick with the numerical names for the months, as the bible does on numerous occasions. For Example, it is written in Exodus 16:1:

'...on the 15th Day of the 2nd Month after their departing out of the land of Mitsrayim (Egypt).

Or, Jubilees 1:1

'And it came to pass...in the 3rd Month, on the 16th Day of the Month...'

Note: Yahuah is demonstrating His Monthly Count in both verses.

Yahuah never assigned a name to the months - nor for the days of the week.

The Hebrews began to assign names to the months, and days of the week, after spending 70 years in Babylonian Exile. Prior to that they were simply 3rd Month, 5th Month, or 7th Month. The exception to that was due to the surrounding Canaanite influence of calling the 1st Month of the year Abib; and that was related to the appearance of the young ears of barley in springtime: Abib translates to: 'Fresh green ears.' However, let it be noted: that was the people, not Yahuah.
